Characteristics of steel grade 15

Steel grade 15 is a quality structural carbon steel produced to the requirements of DSTU 7809/ GOST 1050.

Classification: Quality structural carbon steel.

Products: Steel plates and sheets, including shapes, forged goods and semi-finished products.

Steel grade 15 is used to manufacture parts that have high ductility and are operated at temperatures from -40 °С to +450 °С, e.g. hooks, screws, bolts and other parts, as well as thermochemically treated parts with high surface hardness, e.g. cams, nuts, levers, etc.

Steel grade 15 has no welding restrictions, except for thermochemically treated parts.

Welding methods: manual metal arc welding, submerged arc welding, electric resistance welding.
