Coke Slurry

Coke slurry is produced by screening the blast furnace coke to a size finer than 0.5 mm. It is used for the production of briquettes and refractory materials. It is produced by Avdiivka Coke and Azovstal.

  • Crude Benzene (БС, БС-1)

    Crude benzene is produced by recovering hydrocarbons from the coke-oven gas and is used to produce plastics and different types of synthetic fibers. The product mix comprises grades БС and БС-1 that have different benzene content - 70% and 78%, respectively. Crude benzene (БС and БС-1) is produced by all coke and chemicals plants of Group, such as Avdiivka Coke, Azovstal, ZaporizhCoke.

  • Crude Benzene (БС-2)

    Crude benzene is the residue obtained from the distillation of the crude benzene of grade БС to grade and is used in the naphthalene production and as a fuel. Crude benzene (БС-2) is produced by Avdiivka Coke, Azovstal and ZaporizhCoke.

  • Benzene for Synthesis

    GOST 8448-78

    Benzene for synthesis is produced by refining the crude benzene. Applications: plastics and synthetic fibers. It differs from crude benzene by high content of the main substance (up to 99.8%); benzene for synthesis is produced at ZaporizhCoke.

  • Ammonium Sulfate as a By-Product

    Ammonium sulfate is produced during the treatment of the coke-oven gas by recovering ammonia from COG with the help of sulphuric acid. It is mainly used in agriculture as a mineral fertilizer. It is produced at Avdiivka Coke, Azovstal, ZaporizhCoke.

  • Electrode Pitch

    GOST 10200-83

    Electrode pitch is a by-product of coal tar processing (50-60 % yield in terms of weight). Electrode pitch is used for the production of anode paste, carbon and graphite products, structural graphitized carbon materials, electro-carbon goods, and other applications. It is produced in liquid and granulated form. Main producers include ZaporizhCoke, Dniprodzerzhynsk Coke and Avdiivka Coke.
