Steel 1080

Steel grade 1080 has low ductility and high tensile strength. After heat treatment, it acquires a high complex of elastic properties, as a result of which it is used for the manufacture of springs, shafts and other elements. Steel products are fully compliant with the ASTM A510/A510M, ASTM A713/A713M and SAE J403 standards and other regulatory documents.

Analogues of steel AISI 1080

Application

Due to its high wear resistance and hardness, steel grade AISI 1080 is used in cutting tools, when manufacturing high-strength wire, round and flat springs and products operating under the influence of vibration and abrasion loads. This steel grade is popular in the agricultural machinery industry when manufacturing parts of tractors and combines.

Welding

Steel grade 1080 is not applicable for welded structures.
