The project was conducted in two stages. First, the jury assessed detailed employer questionnaires “blindly”, without knowing the names of the companies. This approach ensured objectivity, as the evaluation was based not on brand recognition, but on the quality of HR processes and employee-care practices.
Reader voting also contributed to the consolidated score and the final selection of companies in the ranking. In total, 63 companies submitted questionnaires for consideration.
In its submission, Metinvest presented its ecosystem for reintegrating veterans into civilian life and work, built on the principles of responsibility at all management levels, system-based solutions and fairness. All business processes are adapted to support the return of both former employees and newly hired veterans.
The ecosystem includes physical and psychological rehabilitation, as well as enhanced medical insurance for veterans during their first year after returning. In addition, former service members are offered free training or retraining and the opportunity to obtain a higher education degree at Metinvest Polytechnic on preferential terms. The Group helps veterans to adapt to the workplace and provides training for teams on how to interact with demobilised colleagues. Metinvest’s total budget for veteran adaptation in 2025 amounts to US$550,000.
Metinvest ranked eighth in the overall listing. The jury highlighted the Group’s comprehensive and systematic approach.
The top ten employers receiving the highest scores from HR experts also included Kernel, the Gas Transmission System Operator of Ukraine, Philip Morris in Ukraine, SoftServe, Intellias, Wargaming Kyiv, Darnytsia, Roche Ukraine and Energoatom.
