The center will have co-working spaces, club offices, conference rooms, laboratories, classrooms, spaces for creativity and micro-production. It is also expected to open the Tech&Society exhibition space and the prototyping laboratory. The center will be located at the address: Av. Metalurgiv, 2, in a building owned by the city. Now it is undergoing reconstruction. The center will start working in full format in 2023.
Today, the educational component of the center, the School of Creative Economics, is already operating. It offers programs in entrepreneurship, IT and creativity for young people, start-ups and anyone interested. Thanks to the support of partners and donor organizations, all participants of the School of Creative Economics will receive a full scholarship for training, consulting assistance and affordable working conditions in coworking.
The project is implemented by the Center for Development of Creative Economy of Krivyi Rih, which was selected by the Kryvyi Rih City Council in an open competition. The creation of the center is supported by the Ministry for Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine. The project partners are the Metinvest Group and the Kryvyi Rih Foundation of the Future. The project is funded by the K.FUND foundation and the NGO GoLocal. Luminate, a global philanthropic organization, grants support for the development of digital rights and data rights.
Metinvest Group systematically provides assistance to develop cities of its presence, implements infrastructure projects, supports medicine, institutions of culture and sports. One of the key areas is the creation of conditions for the education and development of citizens of all ages.
With the support of Metinvest, in Krivyi Rih, the first in the city IT-hub and co-working was opened for students, starting entrepreneurs and experienced businessmen. The company has implemented the program «School of Municipal Leadership», which graduates demonstrated their skills of effective managers in various spheres of activity and were able to implement ideas for improving the life of the Krivyi Rig Community. The result of another project for business starters – «School of Social Entrepreneurship» – was the opening of a network of educational-development complexes for kids in all districts of the city.
