The memorandum will create favourable conditions for reforming of educational system in order to train qualified technical specialists, taking into account current trends in the labour market of Ukraine. Its aim is to improve the quality of filed-specific education by means of upgrading the infrastructure of educational institutions, developing curricula and creating comfortable conditions for the educational process, and motivating talented and ambitious students aimed at realizing their own potential in the industrial sector.
"The new scholarship program for more than 400 students, upgrading of classrooms and laboratories, cooperative career-oriented work to promote metallurgical professional occupations are the key areas of collaboration between such a corporate citizen like Metinvest and universities of Zaporizhzhya. We are not just employers, we are ready to become partners and undertake additional obligations in such an important process like formation of modern professional education in Ukraine,” said CEO of Zaporizhstal, Rostislav Shurma.
In particular, the memorandum includes the cooperation between our company and higher institutions on the matters of conducting enterprise-based training courses for External Independent Testing preparation, courses on STEM-education for schoolchildren, internships for students and teachers.
From now on, the best students of Zaporizka Politekhnika Unversity and ZNU, having their 1-5 year field-oriented training courses, can apply for Metinvest scholarships on competition basis. Total company investments will be around UAH 5.3 million.
Let us summarize, annually, as part of partnership program with educational institutions, enterprises of Metinvest in Zaporizhya employ about 200 young specialists.
