As one of the largest international mining and metallurgical groups, Metinvest recognises its responsibility for helping to solve these problems. We support global initiatives and participate in international environmental projects.
The UN Global Compact is a United Nations initiative to encourage socially responsible business. The document comprises 17 global goals, including combating hunger, climate change and disease, as well as promoting gender equality, healthy lifestyles and affordable education. The UN Global Compact has 9,200 participants from 166 countries.

Metinvest was the first Ukrainian company to become a member of the World Steel Association (worldsteel). Members are required to follow sustainable development principles, including environmental activities.
